Miguel M. Castellanos
Miguel's areas of interests revolve around sustainable fisheries and aquaculture production management and commercialization. Miguel graduated from the Arizona State University, Mesa, in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Resource Management. After college, he worked in Northern Mexico as a research assistant at the Instituto Nacional de Pesca y Acuacultura or INAPESCA (National Institution of Fisheries and Aquaculture). During his four years at INAPESCA, Miguel collected and analyzed biological and environmental samples for three annual projects which involved the fisheries of swimming crab, jelly fish, and an endangered fish (totoaba mcdonaldi). He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, UC Santa Barbara. He is part of the Latin America Fisheries Fellowship and will pursue the Coastal Marine Resources Management Specialization.
